Earth Play Saturday

at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre
from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Tots 5 and under and their caregivers can learn about nature through songs, hands-on exploration,
 and take an interactive walk with this fun, family-friendly program.
Drop-in. Admission by suggested donation of $5.00/ couple or $10.00/ family

Spring Craft Fair
Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2
at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre
from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Come and welcome Spring with our Spring Craft Fair! Enjoy the warm, welcoming atmosphere and shop for that 
special little something from the many different goods sold by our vendors.

Easter Eggstravaganza
Sunday, April 16, 2017
at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre
from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Full of crafts, activities, prizes, and our famous nature egg hunts. Fun for the whole family!
Drop-in. Admission by suggested donation of $3.00/ person or $10.00/ family.
Call 403-346-2010 for egg hunt times or more information.


Pre-registered Programs
Registration is required minimum two days prior to the program.
Lack of registration may result in a program being cancelled. 

Spring Break Day Camp
Monday, March 27 to Friday, March 31
from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.
Break out of the winter doldrums with this fun and interactive camp for 6 to 13 year-olds.
 Youth must bring a lunch and snacks, indoor shoes, and outdoor clothing
Pre-registration required. $45/child/day or $180/child for all five days. 
Limited Spaces available.

Bat House Building
Saturday, April 8, 2017
at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre
from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
A presentation on basic aspects of bat biology and the bats of Alberta with Cory Olson, M.Sc., P.Biol.,
Alberta Community Bat Program Coordinator. The talk will then be followed by a bat house building workshop.
Pre-registration required. $50/family of five, includes one bat house. Limited number of spaces available.​

Birdhouses with Bob
Sunday, April 9, & Saturday, April 15, 2017
at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre
starting at 2:00 p.m.
Youth ages 6 to 13 can build a birdhouse to welcome back the song birds of Spring.
Pre-registration required. $7/members; $8/non-members per child. Adult must accompany child.

Talk & Book signing with Mors Kochanski
Saturday, May 13, two sessions
9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Mors is widely known throughout North America and Europe for his extensive work in outdoor education and wilderness living.
 His passion and desire to learn everything about the Northern Forest has made him one of the world’s foremost authorities
 on Boreal wilderness skills and survival.. He popularised the term 'bushcraft' and coined the familiar saying "the more you know, the less you carry".
 Bushcraft, published in 1987, is a renowned text on survival skills and it’s evident that Mors is teaching from experience.
 $10+GST/person, group rates available. Call 403-346-2010 for more information or to register.


A note on Raft Tours:
It was an up and down summer for rafting in 2016; unfortunately, our season was cancelled.
We are still taking names of interested parties for next season.
To those already on our waiting list: you have been troopers with your patience.

Anyone holding a rafting certificate for the 2016 season, you can claim it for the 2017 season.
