The buildings and grounds of Fort Normandeau and the Allen Bungalow, or the bird blind in Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary, make unique and beautiful backdrops for your special wedding photographs.
The Allen Bungalow
The McCullough Room is the old parlour of the historic Allen Bungalow, across the parking lot from the Kerry Wood Nature Centre. It is a beautiful space for a small service, reception, meal, or as shelter for some of the group when taking wedding pictures. It is wheel-chair-accessible and has a washroom and kitchenette.
In the 1930s and 1940s, the Allen Bungalow (Busby) gardens were locally famous and considered among the most beautiful in Red Deer. The heritage gardens have recently been brought back to their former luster and a beautiful cedar gazebo was added to create the perfect location for a wedding ceremony.
The Kerry Wood Nature Centre
Not your usual hotel meeting room! There are a variety of spaces in the Kerry Wood Nature Centre that can accommodate groups from 16–80 people in a unique setting.
The Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary
The bird blind and viewing decks in the Sanctuary provide amazing natural settings for small, intimate services for nature-lovers.
A great spot for a country wedding! The 1885 log fort, a big grassy field, tipi and the festival tent beside the river add up to an outstanding location for weddings and wedding pictures.
